City of Games September update: Calm before the storm

1st September 2022 2

It is an unusual time here at The City of Games, so much is happening that I want to be able to talk about but we’re not there just yet. It’s the calm before the storm and I know next month’s update will be one you will not want to miss.

I’m amazed it’s been less than a month since I was at Gen Con, it feels like a life time ago but I want to thank everyone who came by the booth and said hello. It was a truly overwhelming experience and my best convention of all time, I made a lot of fantastic memories thanks to you.

Product update

Everything The Isle of Cats is now back in stock and ready to ship, this includes all the expansions, accessories, and Kickstarter content.

I’m also pleased to announce The Isle of Cats base game is now available in Target throughout America!

I understand there has been a shortage of The Isle of Cats in some parts of Canada and I apologise for this, I’m working on getting them restocked as soon as possible.

Publisher lessons

This month in publisher lessons I discussed the following topics:

An update on Frank

I’m really enjoying Star Trek being popular again with all the new shows and animations. They are now finally available to watch in the UK so I’m trying to catch up. I’ve also been enjoying House of the Dragon and can’t wait for Rings of Power to be available tomorrow!

Until next time

Next week I will be making a guest appearance on the Dice Tower YouTube channel as I share my story and discuss game design with Tom and Eric – Feel free to ask anything you would like to know here. I’ll also be doing a little bit of travelling for a photoshoot and giggling to myself in anticipation of all the things about to happen!

Glad you had fun at Gen Con Frank. It was my first year and I had an amazing time as well. I can’t wait to be back in the future! I have seen a lot of people posting Isle of Cats/Vadoran Gardens in their hauls on the Fans of Gen Con FB page which is awesome to see. With how quick you sold out (and how popular your booth was!) I def see you being even bigger in the future 😀 Take care and can’t wait to hear about more updates/announcements in the next coming months!!

P.S. I am trying hard to wait until 3-4 episodes of House of Dragon are out before watching it but it’s been hard….I’ve avoided spoilers so far but we’ll see if it lasts!!

It was fantastic to see you there, certainly one of the highlights!

It’s super hard to avoid the spoilers on these things, I would have preferred to wait for a few episodes to be out but with how much I use social media these days I have to watch them before I can start working!
