Discover more with our website update

29th December 2021 by Frank West0

Every year I review this websites performance and look to see how I can improve it. I want to make sure it answers the most commonly asked questions, provides useful information about our games, and from 2022 onwards I also want it to be a place to learn about publishing.

Over the last week I have launched a number of new parts to the website and will summarise them below.

Blog: Publisher Lessons

I have created a blog where I will be releasing weekly articles about publishing. I will be sharing my experiences, detailing the lessons I have learned, and opening the doors to make everything as visible as possible for you to see.

The first article was a look back at 2021 and new articles will be added regularly from the start of 2022.

About

This section adds 3 new pages to the website:

  1. The City of Games – A brief overview of the company
  2. The Team – Talking about the people who make The City of Games what it is
  3. The City of Kings universe – The first step in providing more lore about The City of Kings universe.

Contact

I have added new sections for game submissions, job applications, and donation requests.

While I’ve not actively recruited or searched for game designs in the past, I do receive monthly emails about them and thought it was about time I made a public answer.

Shop

Perhaps the most needed addition to the site, I have added information to cover shipping, taxes & customs fees, and Brexit to the website for anyone wondering what to expect when placing an order.

Other

Outside of this you’ll see a number of new features including the improved newsletter sign up where I’ll now be sending monthly updated on the first Thursday of every month.

Let me know what you think and if you have any suggestions for other pages you would like to see on the site I would love to hear them in the comments below.
