The City of Games

Every little detail

8th June 2015 0

The City of Kings isn’t just a game, it is a story waiting to be told. Every little detail is thought out to best understand how the game and the story can be further integrated to provide a better experience.

Recently we discussed what currency should we use?

Gold and diamonds were the first things that came to mind but were they the right decision? In a world where evil has nearly wiped out civilisation and few people have a home it seems unlikely they would hold so much value.

Perhaps with the destruction of their homes people would find shelters, blankets and clothing much more desirable? Yet this doesn’t seem a sensible currency, let alone practical for our explorers.

Surrounded by death and destruction injuries are commonplace, sickness is spreading and we wonder about the medicines available. Would bandages or general medication be a far rarer, more valuable commodity?

Finally we explored the hunger which all our survivors face day after day, what wouldn’t they do for a good meal?

Whilst the answer to our question is still yet to be finalised, I thought it would be interesting to share with you just one of the countless decisions which are being made everyday. We really do think about every little detail and will share more of our thought processes with you over the coming months.
