Creating Vyliria Ellion
Vyliria Ellion is the queen of the Elves, a once great and powerful race, but since the destruction of the forests our Elves have withered away. Their bodies attuned to a nature which has been ripped apart and their lives along with it.
Our goal with the Elves was to create a weak, dying race that more resembled the undead than the creatures you might imagine. It was critical that Vyliria looked both weak and fragile whilst powerful and strongminded. Her body may be dying but her determination to save her people must take priority.
As we started to add detail to her face we started to think about her clothing and crown. We imagined it to be alive and growing like the plants that once surrounded her, but as with her body they are now rotting as the world collapses around her.
We will be further refining our queen, adding her body and exploring colours in the coming weeks.

Frank West is a gamer and designer based in Bristol, UK. He published his first board game, The City of Kings, in 2018 and now works on other games and organising events in the local area. His goal?
